Under the shadow of recent global events, some of the media has been attempting to point out the differences between Chinese culture and other cultures. Western cultures, and even other nearby Asian cultures, are sometimes simply made fun of. Many of these programs are nothing more than an elevation of one culture over another. In many cases, foreign guests on TV shows are satirically made fun of. Sometimes this cultural degrading goes into the realm of sexual habits, options and preferences. Under this type of public stoning, for the sole purpose of entertainment, no culture is able to share in the uniqueness of another culture. Only further misunderstandings are developed in our social conscious.

Many of these programs are not attempting to intellectually exchange or explain known differences in cultures. This lack of public responsibility displays cultural ignorance on the part of the host and foreign guests. This only promotes further misunderstandings and hidden prejudices.

In today's "International Community" any kind of cultural separation only endorses misconceptions and causes prejudgments. People are different and unique in many ways. We should learn to accept that we are all the same but different and learn the strengths different cultures have to offer without condemning or comparing another culture based only on our own cultural beliefs.

"Four Seas, One Family" will objectively bring our unique cultures together. No attempt would be made to show one way of reasoning over another. Our goal is to explain without prejudgment how one culture views other cultures. We hope to create a "cultural exchange" center, which can offer insights on cultures different from our own. In this platform we can learn from each other and gain clearer insights about the world we must save for future generations.
